Camping and Caravanning Club extends site opening dates
The Camping and Caravanning Club is extending the open dates for six of its campsites this year
Derwentwater in the Lakes and Salisbury in Wiltshire will be open all year around, along with the 15 others that are currently open all year (plus five Camping in the Forest locations).
Four further sites that would usually close in October will now be open until the end of November (Barnard Castle, Cannock Chase, Horsley and Kendal).
Meanwhile, Lynton in Devon is open until 31 October.
Simon McGrath, of the Camping and Caravanning Club, said,
Autumn and winter can be a fantastic time to enjoy your caravan, motorhome or even tent and we believe many people will be keen to continue to enjoy the fresh air on a camping break, even as the nights draw in.
Site closure dates
31 October: Lynton (Devon)
30 November: Barnard Castle (Co Durham), Cannock Chase (Staffs), Horsley (Surrey), Kendal (The Lakes)
4 January: Bellingham (Northumberland), Cheddar (Somerset), Sandringham (Norfolk), Winchcombe (Gloucestershire), Wolverley (Worcestershire)
5 January: Scone (Perthshire)
7 January: Polstead (Suffolk)
14 January: Windermere (the Lakes)
