Demand for NEC show tickets 10 times higher than usual
The “extraordinary” demand for tickets for the UK’s biggest indoor motorhome, caravan and camping show proves there is huge pent-up demand for leisure vehicles, tents and leisure homes, organisers said
The Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show will be back at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham between 22 and 27 February, 2022.
Show organiser, NCC Events, said over 26,000 advance tickets had already been sold by early December, 10 times the number usually seen at this stage.
And with interest in camping, caravanning and motorhoming at an all-time high, Channel 5 will also be filming and broadcasting live from the NEC show.
John Lally, CEO of NCC Events, said
The strong ticket sales are a clear indication of pent-up demand – we know that not only are there a lot of new buyers coming into the industry, but many of the core market of caravanners have held off upgrading their outfits.
This will be the first major leisure vehicle exhibition in the UK for two years and we know that many will have missed the opportunity to step inside the latest models, compare the different layouts and specifications and talk face to face with others who share their love of the touring lifestyle.
We are delighted that so many manufacturers across product categories are using the show as a platform to launch new models and utilising the event to present their brand to an audience that has boomed with many newcomers.
There will be an excellent range of well-equipped holiday homes, lodges and tents on offer, too. There really is no better place to see what’s on, choose a perfect vehicle and chat to a friendly face who can reassure, offer advice and demonstrate features on their chosen products.
Who will be there?
The leading UK and European leisure vehicle manufacturers displaying their models include: Adria, Auto-Sleepers, Auto-Trail, Bailey, Carthago, Chausson, Coachman, Elddis, Erwin Hymer Group UK, Knaus, Rapido, Rimor, Roller Team and more.
Campervan models on display include those from Bilbo's, CMC Reimo, Danbury, Dreamer, Elddis, Hillside Leisure, Malibu, Murvi, Vantage Motorhomes, Westfalia Mobil and WildAx.
Leading tent and trailer tent manufacturers taking part include Vango, Dometic, Quest, Regatta, Snow Peak, Zempire, Coleman, Khyam, Outwell, Cabanon, Camperlands, Opus, Pennine Outdoor Leisure, Raclet and Trigano.

What else is there to do?
Visitors will also be able to research and book their 2022 holidays from a selection of campsites and holiday parks as well as buying accessories for their trips.
Advice will be on offer at a series of talks and presentations from organisations and enthusiasts across the outdoor leisure market and you can take part in caravan towing courses.
Free leisure activities will be on offer, including a custom-built indoor pool where visitors can try paddleboarding and kayaking, an advice centre for those new to leisure vehicles, plus many other features.
