Celebrate National Countryside Week

The Caravan and Motorhome Club is giving its backing to the National Countryside Week which starts today (Monday 31 July) and ends on Sunday (6 August)

The National Countryside Week is The Prince’s Countryside Fund’s annual awareness week, which aims to promote and celebrate the values of the countryside and raise funds to support good causes in rural communities.

This is the third year running that the Caravan and Motorhome Club has supported National Countryside Week.

Since 2015, more than £15,000 has been raised by the Club’s campsites across the country that host their own celebratory events and parties.

This year the Fund is continuing its focus on the importance of the family farm and numerous Caravan and Motorhome Club sites will be putting on a variety of activities.

From tombola’s to tea parties, dog shows to guide walks, there will be plenty for everyone to enjoy.

This year’s highlights include a mini Farmers’ Market at Chester Fairoaks Caravan Club Site and a caravan show selling new and used accessories and Bric a Brac at Morn Hill Caravan Club Site.

Nick Lomas, Director General of the Caravan and Motorhome Club said: “We’re delighted to continue our support for the Prince’s Countryside Fund and the valuable help the Fund provides. We have Club sites across the country and we know our members truly love spending time in the great outdoors.  The site parties are a great way to get people out and about, enjoying Britain’s beautiful countryside.”

Helen Aldis, Manager, The Prince’s Countryside Fund said: “We are thrilled with the enthusiasm that the Caravan and Motorhome Club’s sites put into planning fun and creative events in celebration of the countryside. With their support it ensures we can continue our valuable work supporting the people who live and work in the countryside which makes it such a special place to visit and spend your holiday.”
