Camping and Caravanning Club closes campsites until further notice
The Camping and Caravanning Club has closed all of its UK campsites with immediate effect.
In a statement released yesterday, the Club's Director General, Sabina Voysey, said: "Given the continued escalation of the virus, the thoughts of our members and the messages from local tourist boards it is clear the time has now come to close all our sites with immediate effect.
"Clearly, this decision will have a great impact on the hundreds of staff who have shown such remarkable dedication to the Club in extremely testing times. We will be supporting them in every way we can through the weeks and months ahead, until they can get back to doing what they do best — giving you the best possible experience at our sites up and down the country."
The Club has asked that members only call if necessary as it makes its way through contacting those with future bookings and assists those already on-site.
If you have a booking in April, the Club will be in touch in due course and asks that you do not travel. Those with bookings in May or beyond will be given the option to change it to a later date or receive a full refund. For more information, click here.
