Big Plans Ahead For East Sussex Campsite
An all-weather play park, al fresco chill area, pop-up restaurants, a Bug Hotel, events ranging from fun, dogs and sports days to tabletop sales to live music.
There was a lot going on at Horam Touring Park this year. And it looks like there could be even more at the East Sussex in 2019. Winter work planned includes new drainage in the first field of the seven-acre woodland site, plus new planting around the park, plus painting and various building works projects.
Also, a Barefoot Trail is being created, to enable campers to experience the joys – and health benefits – of walking free of socks and shoes. That’s all on top of many projects this year – a willow screen by the camping shelter, flowerbed at the entrance, new fencing at toilet block, bike rack at the office, and more. It all opens again next March, with an Easter Fun Day the first event on the calendar. The site is set in the Horam Manor estate, where campers also have access to the Lakeside Café and fishing, horse riding stables, nature trails, a tennis club and Horam Manor Farm museum and crafts workshops.
• Keep ahead of the developments at horam-manor.co.uk.
