Burrowhayes Farm Caravan & Camping Site & Riding Stables

Burrowhayes Farm, at West Luccombe near Porlock in west Somerset is a tranquil campsite where you can relax with the sound of a stream tripping over stones and be surrounded by one of Britain’s areas of natural beauty.

The pitches are mostly grass which is neatly mown and the ground beneath very firm. There is a recently-built toilet and shower block which is heated, spacious and immaculate, as well as good disabled facilities and excellent laundry and dishwashing facilities. The site has a well-stocked shop, which also has the reception and the information centre. Dogs are allowed on site provided they remain on a lead and are exercised off site.

The campsite is central to exploring the Exmoor countryside and there are many waymarked walks with direct access from the site. A quarter-of-a-mile stroll takes you to the quaint hamlet of Horner where you will find two welcoming tearooms while three-quarters-of-a-mile in the other direction is the pretty village of Porlock, which has a visitors' centre, church, shops and several restaurants. The seaside town of Minehead is approximately five miles away.

For those of you who wish to be more active, there is a riding stable on site which caters for experienced riders, and pony rides for children – you can even take an escorted ride through the beautiful Horner Valley, or across the open moorland of Dunkery, Ley Hill and Selworthy.
