Peace and tranquillity reign at this campsite, making it a haven for wildlife and a bird watcher's paradise. Hill walkers will enjoy the splendours of the nearby Simonside Hills. A place where you can breathe fresh air, feel space and open countryside around you and slough off the troubles of the everyday world. All is peace - yet this countryside has seen some of the hardest-fought border battles in our history. The Romans had their border conflicts too, and you can see how they solved them with Hadrian's Wall, to the south of the county. This site does not accept motorhomes over 28ft long
