This is the Caravan Club’s northernmost English campsite. Its actual location might raise an eyebrow at first sight, as it appears to be slap bang in the middle of a residential area, but its high elevation compared to the surrounding area affords the panorama from which the campsite takes its name. It really is a pleasant view to have out of your front windows. The walk down to the Spittal waterfront is worth the effort, too, as the close-up view of the vividly-painted lighthouse represents a genuine photo opportunity. The campsite itself is spread over three tiers, offering 85 hardstandings.
