Quex is a picturesque, level and partly-wooded campsite with a peaceful quiet atmosphere. A grocery shop and laundry are provided for the convenience of visitors. The lovely sandy beach at Minnis Bay is only two miles away, and the leisure and sporting activities at Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Sandwich are all within easy reach. A log cabin houses washing and shower facilities and there is a children’s play area. The fascinating Quex House museum and gardens adjacent to the park are well worth a visit. The campsite is a handy place to explore all the attractions that Kent has to offer.

Set two miles from the sandy beaches of Margate, Quex Caravan Park features 42 touring pitches together with 165 holiday homes (owned and not available for hire). The touring park is separate from the holiday home section and offers mainly grassed pitches with electric hook-ups. These are set among mature trees and the site is within walking distance of the village of Birchington.

Campsite facilities include a laundry, toilet block and shop with cafe that also offers a takeaway service, ideal for those that don't want to drive again once they've pitched up. Pets are allowed on site and there's also a children's play area.

For those who like to stay in touch with family and friends when they're on the campsite, or want to find local activities or restaurants, it's worth noting that WiFi is offered.

As well as the nearby delights of the sandy beaches, remember that there are slipways nearby, so anyone looking to launch a boat will be able to get speedy access to the South Channel stretch of the North Sea. Sea fishing and watersports are popular in this region and Birchington is popular among kite surfers. Equally, horse riding and sailing are popular in the area.

For something slightly more relaxing, why not have a round of golf on one of the local courses? The nearest club is the 18-hole Westgate Golf Club, however there are other courses in the local area.
