Garreg Goch Caravan Park is predominantly a static caravan park but has four seasonal pitches plus touring pitches on hardstanding in two areas - three of these pitches are beside the children’s play area and are suitable for vehicles up to 22ft/6.7m. Ten further touring pitches are in a quieter area and accommodate caravans and motorhomes up to 26ft/7.9m.
The campsite is level and extremely well kept with planters full of flowers dotted around. Although owned by a company that has a handful of campsites in the UK, the site is family-run.
The shop stocks a good choice of groceries, milk, and ice cream. New in 2013 are modern fully tiled washrooms with toilet, washbasin and shower cubicle all in the one room. All facilities are well kept, including the washing-up and laundry areas.
The shower and toilet block are roomy with plenty of hot water, with a dedicated wheelchair-accessible shower/wet room with toilet.
Garreg Goch is situated just a few minutes walk from the wide open beach of Black Rock sands, which affords fantastic views across to Harlech with its famous castle and along the coast to Criccieth with its lesser famed castle.
The campsite is ideally situated for chilling out, touring or perhaps an attempt to climb Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon, as it is known in English). We found it well worth a visit.
