A high quality family-owned campsite at the southern end of Snowdonia National Park, with direct access to the beach and with great views in all directions. Facilities are first rate with modern well-maintained bathroom suites and a great range of catering available on site. There is a licensed shop, amusement arcade, swimming pool, award-winning bar and restaurant, and a car hire facility. The delights of Barmouth are a short drive away. At low tide it is possible to walk there along the beach. Great for boating, sea fishing, and other outdoor activities. ...

Even before you arrive at Islawrffordd, you know you’re in for a quality experience. The huge gold-lettered entrance sign lets you know that this place is built up to a standard, and proud of it.

Reception is equally impressive with its fully glazed double-height bay window, and throughout the site buildings are modern, well-designed, and beautifully maintained. The same is true of the touring areas, which are well laid-out with well-tended plantings.

The site has 75 fully-serviced hard standing touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes. Sanitary facilities are first rate — and new in summer 2020 were the ‘Cader Suites’ bathroom suites. These individual bathroom suites include a walk-in rainfall shower, sink and toilet, as well as toiletries and GHD hairdryer. These need to be booked in advance.

The site operates a night toilet system where the main blocks are closed at 9pm and separate male and female WCs opened. The main facilities reopen at 7am, and both sets are operated by a keyfob.

There’s a good choice of catering onsite with a coffee shop, fish and chips takeaway, Nineteen57 restaurant, and another coffee lounge beside the indoor swimming pool. There's also an electric vehicle charging point on site, too, and for anyone not wanting to take their vehicle off site you can take advantage of Islawrffordd's Smart car hire - 'Pitch 'n' Explore'.

Energetic children have the choice of the indoor arcade and bowling alley or the enclosed outdoor adventure playground.

A main attraction is the coast, right next to the touring field. Here the dog-friendly sandy beach provides plenty of opportunity for walks and relaxation, with fantastic views to the Llyn peninsula to the north and towards Barmouth in the south. The site even has its own slipway and boat storage yard for resident owners.
