Peaceful, privately owned campsite for motorhomes, caravans and tents, just over a mile from St Andrews. Large number of static caravans (most privately owned) and 33 touring pitches, all on hardstanding with electric hook-up. Tents accepted in a separate area. On-site shop, bar, games room and indoor swimming pool. The pool does not have a lifeguard on duty and is 4 feet deep throughout. Public transport available from outside the site to St Andrews. Dogs accepted and there's an exercise area on site. Fly fishing available.

A large privately owned campsite on the outskirts of St Andrews with very friendly and helpful staff in the reception office. Although the actual caravan park is quite large, the majority of the area is taken with static vans and some log cabins.

There are 33 touring pitches towards the St Andrews end of the campsite. All the touring pitches have been converted to hardstanding using large gravel ‘chuckies’ so there will be no problem for the heavier vans. The pitches are large with small wooden rail and post fences separating them but there is a slight slope on the campsite so levelling may be required.

The toilet and shower blocks are housed in pebble-dashed prefabricated type buildings and inside you will find modern, well kept and very clean facilities. The showers in the lower block are large and ‘wet room’ style with a washbasin and seat in the cubicle. There is an additional toilet/ shower block and the laundry next to the touring pitches. The motorhome grey water disposal point is a drive over type but it is very close to the corner of the toilet block so an extension pipe will probably be required for most motorhome waste water outlets. The site can accommodate tents (on grass pitches) and also has a small bunkhouse.

There is an attractive licensed bar on site which has entertainment at the weekends. A big bonus of this site for many people is the indoor swimming pool situated next to the bar (separate entrance). The pool is a medium-sized oval and four feett deep throughout. There is no lifeguard on duty so parents will have to watch children carefully and it is not really suitable for non swimmers because of the depth. The on-site games room can be accessed through the bar or via a separate outside door. It has a range of arcade style games machines and pool tables. There is also an outside play area for children.

Another bonus of the site for some is the access to a three-acre fly fishing reservoir, the reception will provide details and prices. There is a small shop next to the reception for essential supplies but it is only about a 10 minute walk back down the main road to a large Morrisons supermarket for anything else you might need. It is just over a mile back in to St Andrews from the site but there is a bus stop just outside the entrance with a service in to St Andrews bus station. In the wider area there are plenty of visitor attractions in St Andrews and a multitude of golf courses nearby to suit every ability and pocket. For more shops and entertainment Dundee is about 30 minutes away by car.

This is a very popular site for families with good facilities in peaceful surroundings and close to all the attractions St Andrews has to offer.
