Easy access off the road, this pleasant well-kept park - which has a David Bellamy award for conservation - enjoys wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, and is very close to the quaint and historic town of Padstow (with direct access from the park via a public footpath). The winner of Camping & Caravanning Park of the Year 2015/16 Gold Award in the Cornwall Tourism Awards and Campsite of the Year South West Winner in the AA Caravan and Camping Awards 2016-2017.
The 13-acre park offers 150 pitches, including 75 on hardstandings and 135 with electric hook-ups. There are two heated toilet blocks, both are modern, well-maintained and clean. Graded Platinum in the Loo of the Year Awards 2017. There's also a laundry room, a children's play area and an on-site shop that sells groceries.
Padstow itself, is an attractive fishing port, with a harbour dramatically situated on the edge of the Camel Estuary, a stunning safe haven in contrast to the wild and rugged beauty of the north coast. Head here for fabulous seafood courtesy of a certain TV chef…
The Southwest Coast Path, Camel Trail and Saints Way can all be accessed from Padstow, making it an excellent location for the walker. It’s also very close to some of the finest beaches, in particular Trevone Bay, where children can play on the golden sands, enjoy rock pools and safely swim, or even surf if the conditions are right.
In fact, many of the beaches have full-time life guards in the summer months. Padstow is a great place to take a boat trip, whether it be for a thrilling ride, fishing trip or wildlife spotting with a good chance of seeing dolphins, seals and even basking sharks.
Whatever the weather, there are some excellent attractions for all the family, with Newquay Zoo offering many events throughout the season and Blue Reef Aquarium all a short distance away.
