Facilities on the campsite are impressive. There's a well-stocked shop, a laundrette, Wi-Fi is available and there's even a surf school for all ages. Another attraction is the campsite's main indoor pool along with a separate children's pool. Food at St Ives Bay is available from the conservatory by day, which adjoins the pool, and from the Sands Bar at night. There is an eat in or takeaway service including breakfast, all day and evening menus. Details of barbecue evenings and themed evenings are advertised weekly on the campsite. The conservatory joins the Sands Bar making for an amiable, relaxed atmosphere at night when the pool is closed. Food is served from the takeaway in the conservatory until 10pm.
The Dynamite Bar offers seven nights entertainment for all adults and for children in separate areas. Typically, the children will have Punch & Judy, a magician, fancy dress and discos. In the family area (for everyone) a variety of discos, bands, and family fun and games are held.
A new 'on demand' hot water system is more efficient and environmentally friendly, and never runs out of hot water (unless there is no gas). The control of shower temperature in the new system is also much better than in older systems. All the toilet blocks have a wheelchair accessible toilet and the largest block has a accessible shower, in a room large enough for an assistant to help out.
A main draw of this campsite is its location to the beach. Access to the beach from the campsite is down the dunes via a sandy path and 100 steps, or just down a number of sandy pathways. Beach access and the beach are not suited to buggies and wheelchairs but the park staff can guide you to beaches with better access. St Ives Bay Holiday Park's beach car park is free to all guests. There are no cliffs on the park's section of the beach.
