Appuldurcombe Gardens Holiday Park

This very pretty site is situated off the B3327 a few miles from the bustling coastal resort of Ventnor on the Isle of Wight’s south coast. Located in the former grounds of historic Appuldurcombe House, it offers 130 pitches, all with electric hook-ups, accessed along gravel roads. The static caravans are arranged amid the walls of a Capability Brown-designed walled orchard.

An outdoor heated pool is overlooked by the bar and a children’s playground, making the whole site extremely family-friendly. A gently babbling stream meanders alongside the touring & camping field to provide a tranquil backdrop.

Appuldurcombe is well placed to explore the fascinating Victorian architecture of Ventnor and its botanical gardens which, due to the resort’s aspect on a steep, south-facing cliff, earned it a reputation as England’s Madeira. The town’s attractive terraced buildings cling to the cliffs and lead down to golden sandy beaches that the whole family will love.

Sandown and Shanklin are also within ten minutes drive of the site, and the pretty thatched village of Godshill is less than five minutes away.

The island’s extensive network of footpaths and cycleways, plus excellent public transport links, mean that once pitched up on site, campers won’t need their ignition key until the day they leave.

Full site facilities are not open before April or after Mid October. The toilet block is very light with modern washing facilities. A wheelchair-friendly bathroom is situated within the same complex.
