North Morte Farm Caravan Park

Don’t be daunted by the entrance to this campsite through the tiny village of Mortehoe for it is well worth the squeeze, when you park your vehicle up and see the fantastic sight before you on this secluded and beautiful stretch of coastline. Rugged rocks, crystal clear aquamarine sea, add an air of peace and tranquillity to the touring area, which is set well away from the many statics on this campsite.

The immaculate grass and hardstanding pitches are well-spaced and adjacent to the excellent toilet block. The separate huge tent area, although sloping in many places, provides more well-mown grass and secluded little bays for small camper vans.

There is direct access to the South West coast path from here and beaches within walking distance.  Nearby Woolacombe has over two miles of golden sands, perfect for children to build sandcastles, go swimming, surfing or even canoeing.

The tiny village of Mortehoe boasts a heritage centre, describing in detail the wildlife in the area, the history of the village and much more. Children (and adults) will love to take a ride on the tractor or trailer which goes from here to the Lighthouse and Morte Point.

Fishing, golf, horse-riding and cycling opportunities also abound in the area. There are many gardens to visit such as Rosemoor and Heddon Hall, and children are well catered for with Watermouth Castle, Exmoor Zoo, Combe Martin Wildlife Park, The Big Sheep and The Wildlife & Dinosaur Park to name but a few.
