This elevated campsite sits high above the Fowey Estuary on the edge of Bodinnick village, so enjoys beautiful views over the rolling hills and deep valleys this area has to offer. Walkers and cyclists could never be bored here as there are so many country routes begging to be explored. The campsite offers 63 pitches, all of which are well-drained and have 16-amp electric hook-up. Plus there are drinking water points around the campsite. 14 of the pitches are fully-serviced. Facilities include a reception, with shop and off-licence, toilets and showers, baby changing and disabled facilities.

The campsite is divided into two areas. The first offers miles of stunning views across the Cornish hills, the second is screened, lawned and sheltered. Being in an elevated location the 63 grass pitches, with hook-up, are well drained even in the worst weather. The service pitches also have water tap and drainage on-pitch.

Facilities include modern, centrally heated toilet, wash and shower facilities with hairdryers and shaving points. The ladies facilities include privacy cubicles and there's a baby and toddler room. There are wheelchair accessible disabled facilities with washbasin, WC and shower. This facility is also available to families.

The modern Reception/Shop stocks an extensive range of groceries and provisions, along with confectionery, maps, gas, camping and caravanning accessories and other seasonal items. Broadband Internet access is available via their wireless network.

Due to the location of the campsite there is plenty to see and do in the local area. Most of the coastline of the Fowey Estuary and around is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. The slipway to the Estuary is adjacent to the site entrance, where you can launch and store your boat, or take a pontoon berth. Visitors to the park may also use the quay and picnic area on foot. Fishing is available from the quay.

Animals under control are very welcome on the park. There are many lanes and pathways adjacent to the site to exercise dogs, including the famous Hall Walk starting in Bodinnick itself, and the spectacular Coastal Path.

Bodinnick village is extremely picturesque and calm. You can walk into the village from the park, perhaps enjoy lunch at the Old Ferry Inn, part of which is built into the rock face. Daphne du Maurier's House 'Ferryside' is across the road and the annual Daphne du Maurier Festival of Arts & Literature is held in Fowey each May.

There are many varied and interesting walks around. You can walk from Bodinnick to Polruan, via the tiny hamlet of Pont, where you can watch the kingfishers, catch the passenger ferry to Fowey and return on the Bodinnick ferry. Fowey town hosts the famous Fowey Regatta in August, a glorious celebration of racing, feasting and high spirits, when some 2,500 yachts visit.

The beautiful and ever popular Polperro and Looe are within easy reach to the east. The Eden Project is just a short drive away with advance tickets are available from reception. The many houses, gardens and attractions of Southern Cornwall are all easily accessible from Penmarlam Park.

For the more energetic a wide range of water sports are available on the Estuary, and for the children there are theme parks, animal sanctuaries and many other attractions nearby.
