Highfield Farm Touring Park (Cambridge)

The design of Highfield Farm has been carefully manicured to give a feeling of spaciousness and to this end all the pitches have been arranged around the perimeter of the campsite with many enjoying gravelled hardstandings. A dedicated separate area has been set aside for rallies.

On-site practicalities include smart brick-built toilet blocks, complete with colourful hanging baskets and covered dishwashing areas, together with a laundry room and a shop. There's also a motorhome service point and an exercise area for dogs. You can also enjoy a 1.5-mile walk around the park that is punctuated with seats and has great views to admire.

There are many great tourist attractions to keep you entertained in the vicinity of the campsite, including the Cambridge colleges, the Fitzwilliam Museum, Anglesey Abbey, Wimpole Hall and the delightful Ely Cathedral.

There's also the Newmarket National Horseracing Museum nearby, as well as Duxford Imperial War Museum and Wicksteed Amusement Park.

You can also hire punts and boats on the River Cam and this is a great way to spend a day meandering along the path of the river. Cambridge itself offers great shopping, while the village of Comberton itself offers a choice of pubs and eateries.
