Introduction to South Lytchett Manor Caravan & Camping Park
If a site has a host of excellence awards to its name, you can assume it’s going to be a pleasant stay – South Lytchett certainly didn’t disappoint.
Located close to the Dorset coast, four miles from Poole, the site covers over 22 acres of parkland, wonderfully stretching out behind some of the most impressive entrance gates I’ve ever seen!

What the campsite has to offer
Everything here is of a high quality, with guests’ convenience in mind. There are heated, temperature-controlled showers, privacy cubicles, family and accessible rooms, a laundry and adventure playground.
Serviced hardstanding pitches are available, each with electric hook-up, water, grey water disposal and TV aerial input. There is a motorhome waste point on site and, in 2021, the well-stocked shop was extended to also provide a takeaway café and bakery. For eating out, there are two local pubs within walking distance, St Peter’s Finger and The Baker’s Arms.
South Lytchett Manor welcomes dogs, with a large off-lead dog walking fields, a dog wash, and doggie ice cream available in the shop. There are plenty of walking routes from the site, in nearby Upton Country Park, and cycle hire is available from reception if you prefer to explore on two wheels.
Where to visit

The bus stop outside the site gates offers regular services to Bournemouth, Poole, Wareham and Corfe Castle, so exploring the local attractions is easy. Poole has a variety of places to eat, several museums, a wildlife-rich harbour area and impressive quayside. I’d also recommend a wander around Wareham, a historic Saxon-walled market town with scenic riverside walks and quaint shops. In the summer you can enjoy a river cruise from Wareham that goes all the way to Poole Quay and back – a great way to see the beauty of this part of Dorset.
Whether you want to spend days by the sea, relaxing in the countryside, or perusing pretty towns and villages, South Lytchett is a top campsite in a prime location to make the most of your holiday here.
