Editor's Pick - Top Open All Year Sites

Enjoy holidays year-round with this selection of sites that are open all year

This wonderful site nestled beside the Gloucester-Sharpness canal is one of our favourites for visiting the Cotswolds and the stunning scenery of the Severn Vale. With 16 amp hook ups available on both hardstandings and grass pitches, the environmental, award-winning David Bellamy site is ideal for motorhomes, caravans and tents. Adjacent is the dog-friendly Tudor Arms pub/restaurant, well known for their CAMRA awards, or you could sit beside the canal and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat from the Black Shed Cafe. There's lots to do within walking distance of this quiet countryside site, making it the ideal choice for those who prefer to pitch up and not have to drive. Whilst on site, keep an eye out overhead for the migratory birds making their way to the popular visitor's attraction; Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. Just a short walk from the site the nature reserve is home to a vast array of birds.

Set in a wooded valley, four miles from sandy beaches, Hidden Valley Touring Park is perfect for rest and relaxation. The valley is flanked by mature trees, with plenty of walks through the woodland, and nearby bike trails. A bus stop can be found at the site entrance that is directly off the main A361 Ilfracombe to Braunton road, so accessing the many local attractions is easy. On site there’s a shop, bar and restaurant area. The elevated position of the bar and restaurant gives great views over the ornamental lake, which has colourful appeal in all four seasons. For touring and camping guests there are hardstanding pitches, all with electric hook-up, and premium pitches provide full services. The toilet and shower amenities are underfloor heated.

Stroud Hill Park is a family owned, award-winning, adults only caravan touring park set in a rural location only 10 minutes from the historic town of St. Ives. The tranquil, attractive, dog-friendly site provides a central Cambridgeshire location for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents. There are 60 generously sized pitches (44 hardstanding & 16 grass) all with 16-amp electric, drinking water and grey water drain. Private fishing is available and the tennis court is also available exclusively to guests. At the heart of the Park is the timber-framed barn accommodating the Barn Bar & Restaurant. The facility also includes the luxury, award-winning toilets and showers with underfloor heating, indoor laundry and wash-up area. National Trust and English Heritage sites are in an abundance in the area, along with many countryside walks and the Pathfinder Way.

Set in six acres of glorious countryside, award-winning Teversal Club Site ticks all the right boxes for an action-packed escape, with top-notch amenities. Think auto-sensor power showers, individual washrooms, parent and child facilities, a laundry, playground, even a handy shower for dogs! The site has Boardman bikes available to hire, which are perfect for exploring the adjacent Silverhill Wood Country Park, the endless Teversal Trails and the rugged Derbyshire Dales. Other must-dos include Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall and the minster town of Southwell. Teversal also has a camping cabin and three luxurious safari tents to hire.
