A real top-of-the range tent with amazing amounts of space and luxury materials throughout. This is expensive but you’re getting lots for your money.
WHO’S IT FOR?
For larger groups or families who are serious about their camping.
WHAT’S IT LIKE?
Pod tents have gone out of fashion recently, but for sheer space and luxury you’d be hard pushed to beat this mammoth model from New Zealand-based Zempire. The front awning is a large living space that can left open in good weather for maximum airflow or completely enclosed. You can create a dramatic ‘gullwing’ canopy that is unlike anything you’ll ever have seen on a tent before. Panoramic tinted windows provide great views without letting everyone see inside. The door into the main living area can be unzipped entirely and folded away neatly or left in place for more privacy. Twin layer mesh doors with internal covers at front and rear allow airflow through the tent. There are electric cable entry points beside the front and rear doors and a central storage loft with lantern hook. The three bedroom pods lead off from the living area and are constructed from blackout fabric. The rear master bedroom is the biggest, while the smaller side rooms are ideal for kids or couples. A large storage cupboard on one side can be accessed from the living area. Pockets on each side of the doors provide storage for small items. There’s loads of ventilation throughout, both high and low level.
The amount of usable space is outstanding. The pod layout makes it a flexible option with removable bedrooms increasing the living space. And the materials make this one of the strongest, most waterproof tents on the market.
