Outdoor Revolution has a reputation for producing top quality family tents and this new addition to the range is no exception. The polycotton flysheet adds a touch of luxury to what is already an impressive tent – and with a lifetime guarantee on the inflatable tubes, the company is clearly confident that it has a reliable product on its hands.
The Atacama (named after a desert plateau in Chile) is a large inflatable tunnel tent with angled, almost vertical beams designed to create more floor space and maximise headroom. Panoramic windows let light pour into the front porch area, which has a specially designed mesh vent built into one of the windows to allow you to cook safely under cover. For privacy, each window has a set of patterned curtains. The mesh-backed inner door leads into the large living area, where there is plenty of room for an assortment of chairs, tables and storage furniture.
The small annexe on the left hand side provides further storage space and comes with a hanging rail for clothing. The bedrooms along the back are in a 2+2+2 set up and have zip dividers and small storage pockets. There are also storage pockets on the outside of the bedrooms for small items like torches and books. Mesh panels on the bedroom doors and at the rear provide good through ventilation in the darkened sleeping area.
