WHO’S IT FOR?
Families who want plenty of space and like a bit of retro-style on the campsite.

WHAT’S IT LIKE?
The 80s was the era when big was better – big hair, big shoulder pads and absolutely enormous mobile phones. It was also a time when big tents were popular and if you remember those old-school frame tents from back in the day then this will definitely ring a bell.

Complete with a pitched roof and real, patterned curtains, the Olpro Home is a strikingly different family tent – a five-berth inflatable that is sure to appeal to the nostalgic among us. Even the colour scheme has a retro feel, the grey and black is offset with a vibrant green trim that’s reminiscent of the dayglo socks everyone was wearing in 1984. Perfect for those 80s throwback festivals!

So, yes, there’s a lot of fun going on here, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have everything required of a family tent. In fact it’s got more features than most. The Home has a separate kitchen area, built-in toilet or shower cubicle and a sewn-in groundsheet. It also has large living and porch areas and a built-in carpet.

If there’s a retro look about the Home, it also features some of the most up-to-date camping technology. With five sturdy inflatable poles, each with their own valve, it’s easy to pitch and stable in strong winds, especially combined with the heavy duty storm straps.

The front porch area has a cubicle that can be used for a portable toilet or camping shower. In the main living area, a small area has been set aside for a kitchen unit, with a mesh window for ventilation and a zippable door to close it off from the rest of the tent.

The bright living room has large PVC windows with sliding curtains (the very 80s print is definitely an acquired taste!) and ventilation panels and the side door can be pitched open to create a mini-porch. A storage panel gives somewhere to stash for small items and there is plenty of space for camping furniture, too. The bedrooms are decent sized for five and have a large ventilation panel on the back wall and side pockets.

WHAT’S GOOD?
The shape and retro-look will turn heads; flexible interior with toilet and kitchen compartments; front storage porch; large windows and side door.
