Mini Maglite LED

WITHOUT question Maglite is an iconic name. But that does not mean the company rests on its laurels when it comes to torch technology. Enter the LED range, with extended battery life and the same durability, reliability and performance for which Maglite is renowned.

Like the company’s other torches, the new Mag-LEDs are manufactured from precision machined aircraft aluminium, anodised inside and out for maximum corrosion resistance and durability. They are water and shock resistant and have a limited lifetime warranty. Of course, it can also be turned into a candle to light up the work area. Just unscrew the lens assembly to reveal the LED, place head down on stable flat surface and set flashlight barrel into the created base.

Then we have its Balanced Optics that combines a highly refined reflector with a quality 3W LED, for a brilliant adjustable beam that is focusable from spot to flood. We also have the Intelligent Energy Source Management that balances brightness with efficient power use to provide optimum light with extended battery life – it even eliminates heat build up.

Maglite has also introduced a new switch. Turn the torch on the usual way by rotating the lens assembly. But quickly flick off/on again and you turn it on to 25 per cent power for energy saving. A further two flicks will cause the torch to flash at different speeds.

It is certainly a range that upholds the company’s iconic image. But don’t take my word for it. We have some to give away – just turn to pages 44-45. CG
