KAMPA MERSEA 3 TENT REVIEW

b1b34c83-24b3-480d-88a7-c06413816f17

An easy to pitch, entry level tent with enough quality to ensure you won’t regret your purchase the first time it rains. A good option for festival-goers too.

PRICE £210

KEY FEATURES

  • Colour-coded poles
  • PVC corner windows
  • Ventilation panels
  • Roll-back groundsheet
  • Mesh-backed doors

WHO’S IT FOR?
Small families, first-time campers and festival-goers

WHAT’S IT LIKE?
The Mersea 3 is small but perfectly formed. The spacious front room has plenty of space for living or simply for storing your gear. Although there’s no standing room, there is enough space for a limited amount of furniture. The living area also has two large PVC windows which provide plenty of light and good ventilation. The front door can be completely rolled up, and for extra ventilation the doors on both sides feature a mesh panel. The groundsheet clips into place so can be rolled back if it is dry and you’d prefer more ventilation. When it’s fully attached it’s almost as effective as a sewn-in groundsheet. The rear bedroom area is one large space that can accommodate up to three campers. It has storage pockets, ventilation panels and a lantern hook. The bedroom door rolls back intgo its own pocket for tidiness.

WHAT’S GOOD?
Great value for money. Decent size living area, lots of ventilation and easy access via multiple entry points.

WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED?
A sewn-in groundsheet in living area would be better and the lack of standing room may be an issue.
