PITCHING
Very simple and quick pitching using three colour-coded poles to ensure everything goes in the right place.    

LIVING
Decent headroom with large front windows and high-level ventilation. The living space is on the small side, but there is enough room for a small table and chairs. Other features include a side door, cable entry point and ten storage pockets for stashing smaller items like torches and books. 

SLEEPING
It’s advertised as a 6 berth (3+3 with a toggled divider) but realistically this is a four berth tent with two double rooms. The bedrooms have darkened material, mesh vents on the doors and at the rear and storage pockets. There is standing room as well.

OUR VIEW
Budget tents don’t have to be cheap and nasty as the Rydal 600 proves. It may be simple and basic, but for families looking for a good value tent it ticks the boxes. It’s a little small for longer trips but is ideal for weekends and is very easy to pitch.
