PITCHING
As befits an inflatable tent, the Tornado is very quick and easy to put up. It has a single valve on each of the three beams for simple inflation and deflation. It’s light and manoeuvrable enough to be put up by one person in around 15 minutes, making it perfect for short trips.

LIVING
The front porch area in the Tornado provides comfortable living space for a family of four – with enough room for chairs and a small table.  The steep side walls maximise use of the floor space and provide decent headroom. Access is via the large front door or the side door and the PVC windows let plenty of light in. The groundsheet is detachable, and while we generally prefer  them to be sewn-in to keep the tent watertight, the benefits of this set-up is that it allows you to clean it.  

SLEEPING
The large D-shaped bedroom doors have mesh panels for ventilation, which work in conjunction with the large rear ventilation panel. The sleeping pod can be left as one large room or you can use the toggle divider to split it into a 3+2 berth configuration (although a 2+2 set-up is more realistic). Storage pockets for small items hang between the bedroom doors. 

OUR VIEW
A five berth, inflatable tent from one of the leading manufacturers for under £400. For all the positive things said about inflatable tents, if there’s one thing that everyone agrees could be improved, it’s the price. They are still at the higher end of the scale, compared to traditional pole tents. But this from Easy Camp, is a real entry-level inflatable – ideal for family weekends away and perfectly suitable for a longer getaway – at a price that makes it affordable without scrimping on quality.
