Easy Camp Boston 400

5f532ad8-daeb-498e-b0b8-d4232791a12a
THE Boston 400 is a three fibreglass pole tunnel, with a fourth used to give the canopy shape. All poles have angled joints to provide increased headroom to the tent wall.

At the back we have a zip-close, guy out storm flap protecting the usual rear vent. Two more guylines help stop the rear panel flapping in the wind, and a further guyline attaches to the top of the rear pole for support.

Both sides of the tent feature a large panoramic window. These have internal curtains that roll down to open and toggle up to close. A further vinyl window sits each side of the front door. Each has an internal curtain and an apex mesh vent that can be closed off by its own internal curtain. An electric hook-up cable port sits under the right hand window.

The front door folds left and features a large vinyl window with an internal curtain. The sewn-in groundsheet drops at the door for easy cleaning. The canopy provides ample protection in most rainy conditions and you should see little water make its way to the vents or door zip.

A drop down curtain splits the inner tent in two. This is open at the bottom but uses two zips to keep it to the walls. Roll it up out of the way and you have a huge sleeping space for two, with plenty of room for kit and dressing.

Two mesh doors, each backed by a modesty door, fold to the centre column and lead to the bedrooms. The centre column has two rows of five pockets sewn on its outer surface – there’s plenty of room here for those knick-knacks needed during the day. And the centre column also has two rows of three pockets inside – one row for each bedroom.

Camping says The Easy Camp Boston 400 is a cheerful tent that is lifted further by those funky graphics and a light blue ceiling panel that ensures the inner remains bright on cloudy days. Comfort can be further enhanced with the use of the optional footprint and tent carpet.

The tent’s strength lies in its simplicity. Easy to pitch and small to haul combined with ample living and sleeping space, the Boston 400 is ideally suited for weekends away or short touring holidays. It should prove just the job for the smaller family or touring couple looking for an economical way to acquire a quality tent. And quality you’ll get – remember, Easy Camp is Outwell’s junior sister brand and Outwell has won our coveted Tent of the Year Award for two years running...
