WHO’S IT FOR?
A young couple wanting to make the most of their freedom, or older campers looking to leave hard work behind.

WHAT’S IT LIKE?
There are lots of reasons to consider trailer tents as an alternative to traditional camping – with comfort, easy pitching and easy towing high on the list. The Campmaster Air, from Camperlands, is a two berth inflatable model, that ticks all those boxes and more. It comes in a lightweight, compact trailer that is not only easy to pull behind the smallest car but will also take up barely any room in your garage or driveway. An optional bracket, lets you stow the trailer on its end.

The accommodation is based around a Kampa polycotton, inflatable tent, so you know there’s quality there to start with. You pitch the tent just as you would any normal tent, pegging out the corners and pumping up the four beams, either manually or with an electric pump powered by your car. Once the tent is set up, it’s easy to push the trailer inside and open it up to create a 2m long double bed.

With the bed raised off the ground and a memory foam mattress, you should enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep. Alongside the zipped-in sleeping compartment, there’s a side room that can be used for storage or as an en-suite loo and there’s further storage available under the bed.

The living area is spacious with plenty of headroom, thanks to the upright walls. It also has lots of space for camping furniture, both for storage and seating and the large windows provides plenty of light and ventilation.

The front canopy area is large enough to housing your camping cooker and with an optional front wall this area can be completely sealed in to protect you from the elements. With the removal of a few bolts, the Campmaster can be converted to a decent-sized trailer, with gas struts for easy opening. A transport bag that attaches to the top of the trailer can be used to carry the tent, leaving the main body of the trailer to stow all your other gear.

WHAT’S GOOD?
The lightweight and compact trailer is easy to store and manoeuvre. The inflatable tent is quick and simple to set up and is made from quality polycotton fabric. The large double bed is comfortable. Spacious and flexible living area.
