Campingaz Duo Grill CV

WHAT a super little cooker this is! It is a two-ring unit that comes with enamelled hotplate and griddle fittings you can add to either or both rings. There’s even a small fat catcher the slots between both plates. It also comes with its own zipped carrybag that will even take the gas if you opt for CV270 cartridges as I did.

In use, you simply fold out the legs and twist on the self-sealing gas cartridges. There’s no piezo ignition, so don’t forget your matches. This small stove really is powerful. Campingaz quotes a boil time of four minutes 30 seconds for a litre of water, but in the real world I managed a pint of water to kettle whistling time was just under three minutes 30 – still not bad.

Also, you can reckon on the largest 470 Plus cartridges having an official runtime of four-and-a-half hours, but keep lids on pans and turn the pressure right down and you’ll ensure greater efficiency.

All this and a quality build, plus it weighs in at well under 2kg. Worth checking out.

Expect to pay £64.99 Fuel £4 per CV270 cylinder; £12.50 per four-pack Web www.campingaz.com
