WHAT’S IT LIKE?
For star quality, the Star Emperor is hard to beat. This is a tent that puts the ‘glam’ into ‘glamping’ with luxury polycotton canvas, all-round ventilation and a built-in canopy, all designed to provide style and comfort in equal measure. Pitching is remarkably simple – basically you peg out the canvas and groundsheet then lift the two metal poles into position. The tent has a unique design that integrates the front porch into the main body of the tent, providing an outdoor shelter where you can dump muddy shoes or set up your cooker. Another super feature is the 360 degree mesh panel, which surrounds the tent at ground level. It creates extensive ventilation in hot weather, lets in light and provides all-round views, without letting bugs in. And if you think that’s a bit much, you can use the mesh-backed windows to provide light and airflow instead. The large triangular front door leads into the spacious living/sleeping area. It’s all one large space, allowing you to set up any way you like, although this does mean a certain lack of privacy. There’s said to be enough room in here for up to eight campers, and while that might be stretching it somewhat, it means there’s acres of space for a family of four or five.

It’s spacious and really easy to pitch. The extensive mesh ventilation coupled with the polycotton fabric means it not only looks cool but feels it too.

WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED?
There is no separate inner tent so the sleeping and living area is merged into one open plan space.
