What your children say about you when you take them camping
What happened the last time you took your children caravanning or camping?
You may have had a tricky journey through the traffic to get to your campsite.
But, when you got there, you relaxed.
You felt the stress and strain of modern life ebb away as you breathed the fresh air and spent time with your family.
But, what did your children say about you when you took them away?
A 2011 survey by the Camping & Caravanning Club revealed 75% of children who camp said their parents shout less.
It's not just that parents shout less, either. Eight per cent of children feel their parents are less stressed when they go camping.
More than stress relief
Camping is not just good for stress relief either.
Campers feel their quality of life is better (77%) than those who don't camp (59%).
And, with increasing obesity in the UK among children and adults, taking regular exercise is as important as ever. Walking in the countryside is one of the main caravanner pastimes.
Caravanners say one of the main benefits of caravanning is the feeling of freedom they experience. Being away from domestic chores, routines and distractions frees families and allows them to spend time together.
