A TELEVISION production company is appealing for families to take part in a children’s documentary series about camping.

Eye Film and Television is producing the series for Channel Five, entitled ‘Play’, as part of their Milkshake strand and are looking for families to take part.

The observational documentary series will follow children as they play naturally without adult supervision and is aimed at four to seven year olds.

Producer Charlie Gauvain said: “When we discussed the idea with Five it wanted us to find situations where children played as they used to in the past, without parents worrying where they are or what they’re up to because they were safe.

"Straight away I thought of camping, which is where my children do exactly that and so we’re going to be filming for a week on Fisherground Campsite in Eskdale Cumbria’.

The producers are hoping to find four or five families, preferably who already know each other, have children aged between four and seven and would like to spend some time camping in Eskdale.

Filming will take place late July for five or six days and the production company will pay for camping.

* Anyone interested in taking part should contact Charlie Gauvain on 01603 762551, or by email at [email protected]
