The UK is well known for its richness in beauty. It has hiking spots that will intrigue you and give you a lifetime of experience. First, before any hiking journey, ensure you have the right gear. That includes your hiking backpack. It must be comfortable to carry and strong enough to resist the rough terrain when hiking. Decathlon has a huge range of backpacks available, starting at just £2.49.

1 Scafell Pike, Lake District

Scafell Pike is one of the best-known hiking areas in the UK. It is also the highest mountain in England and is one of the tests of the Three Peaks Challenge. Scafell Pike is one of the hardest peaks to ascend in the UK and attracts hikers from around the globe to take the challenge. It has numerous hiking routes that pose a challenge every time, making you feel as though you are taking on a new mountain.

2 Ben Nevis, Scotland

Another breathtaking hiking destination in the UK is Ben Nevis. It is the highest mountain in both Scotland and Britain. Hikers often start with Ben Nevis, when taking the Three Peaks Challenge.

3 Helvellyn, Lake District

Helvellyn is an excellent provider of hiking experience in the UK. Hikers bring their backpacks from all over the world to come and conquer the peak. Swirral Edge, and Striding Edge are rated as the two best scrambles to take on in the UK. This a physical challenge but the views of the Lake District from the mountain are breathtaking.

4 Snowdon, Wales

Mount Snowdon in North Wales forms the third part of the Three Peaks Challenge. The beauty of this mountain is that it attracts both hikers and non-hikers, thanks to the train that can transport you to the top. Real hikers will pack their hiking backpacks and tackle the various routes available to take them to the top.

5 Lizard Coastal Walk, Cornwall

The walk around the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, on the southern tip of Britain’s mainland, is intriguing. The cliffs, rare wild flowers, and coastal history will make you desperate to hit the trail. Experience the fun that comes with drawing pictures in the sandy beaches of Kynance Cove, and visiting the islands of serpentine stones.

Hiking is always fun so much fun that you never want to be left behind. So pick your hiking backpack and hit the trail.
