The Caravan and Motorhome Club announces 2018 'National' event
The Caravan and Motorhome Club is going to host its popular annual outdoor event during the May bank holiday weekend (25 to 29 May) at stunning stately home, Sledmere House in Driffield, Yorkshire
Open to Caravan and Motorhome Club members and the general public, the National is one of the Club’s key events of the year and offers four days of fun and games for all ages.
Daytime activities include baking, crafting, wine making, team sports and plenty of adventurous pursuits in including hover archery, zip wires and even a ninja assault course!
In the evening, guests will be treated to entertainment in the Adria Entertainment Marquee from Queen, American Divas and Elvis tribute acts, plus the Club Band will be performing a special concert in honour of its silver anniversary.
Day and evening passes are available from £5 per adult (The National will be open to non-residential visitors from 10am to 11pm) while members can choose to stay for the long weekend from £98 per pitch, including electric hook-up.
Members can arrive from 8am on Friday 25 or Saturday 26 May. The entertainment can be booked with the pitch or bought separately from the Club shop.
Visitors will be able to enjoy both Sledmere House and its grounds, designed by Capability Brown. They can also take advantage of the Club’s National Wanderer CycleFest on Sunday 27 May. Accredited by British Cycling and supported by Raleigh and Maxxis, CycleFest is designed for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy cycling. The event offers two challenging sportive routes, a relaxed family ride and a cycling village.
Harvey Alexander, the Club's Marketing Director, said: “The National is one of the most exciting events in the Club’s calendar and we’re delighted to this year be hosting it at one of Yorkshire’s most beautiful stately homes, Sledmere House. We look forward to welcoming both new faces with our day and evening places and members who stay for the whole weekend – there will be more than enough happening to entertain everyone, no matter their age or interest.”
