Show-goers enjoy weekend<br>packed with entertainment

THOUSANDS of people flocked to the weekend’s Midsummer Music & Leisure Show held at the Lincoln Showground.

During a sunny evening on Saturday visitors were entertained by a 60s and 70s music spectacular, with Gerry and the Pacemakers topping the bill.

Other crowd-pleasing acts were Class of 64, The Rubettes and The Real Thing.

The resourcefulness of the organising team was tested to the full due to the recent heavy downpours but they managed to pull out all the stops and rearrange the event on site to avoid disruption.

The weekend was packed with entertainment and featured more than 150 specialist outdoor traders selling a range of accessories. It also featured the Park and Holiday Homes Show 2007.
