Pop newcomers Club2gethr are aiming to have the big summer hit of 2013 with their new single celebrating camping and the great outdoors. And with the backing of one of the producers who helped Kylie Minogue to the top, youngsters Steph, Will and Jenni are hoping to pitch up at the top of the charts.
Livin’ The Dream was created by Mike Stock – part of the famous Stock Aitken Waterman production team who scored more than 100 hits in the 80s and 90s and helped launch the pop careers of Kylie, Jason Donovan and Rick Astley.
Here’s a sneak preview of Club2gethr’s new video, which features TV presenter and Caravan Club member Rowland Rivron and the former Eurovision singer Nicki French.
The Caravan Club is backing the project and urged all family campers, caravanners and motorhomers to help the record storm the UK charts. The name of the band is a homage to the Club’s own online community, Club Together.
Stock was approached by record producer David Hanlon in February, with the idea of a pop band to record a song that celebrates the great outdoor, family fun way of life and holidaying. Auditions were held, and Steph, Will and Jenni were chosen to form the band.
Stock said: “Our song is all about fun, it’s genuine pop with no age limit. The band sings that the weatherman is promising good days of sunshine. Let’s all get out there and have a great summer!”
Tony Hall, of the Caravan Club added: “The Club is delighted to be supporting this project; it is a wonderful family-orientated song and it would be fantastic if the whole caravan, camping and motor caravanning community got behind this idea which celebrates our lifestyle and the great outdoors.”
The track can be pre-ordered on the Caravan Club website from 14 June and you can get more information about Club2gethr at their own website
