Opus Owners Meet For First Big Gathering

Fans of Opus folding campers have held their first owners' rally.

The Opus has only been around for a few years but it’s already developed a loyal fan base. And they love the luxury folding campers so much that they’ve just held their first get-together.

The weekend rally was organised by Air Opus owners Steve Lumb and Lilly Roads as a chance to bring Opus owners and their families together.

The event was held at Tattershall Lakes campsite in Lincolnshire in May, with more than 70 people pitching up in 25 Opus campers.

Attendees also voted on the name for a group of Opus seen together, with ‘A Pride of Opus’ coming out tops.

Terry Seymour said: “It’s been a fabulous weekend and we have met so many lovely people. It’s been great to be part of the Pride and look forward to doing it again. Thank you to the OPUS HQ team for their support this weekend”

Steve Lumb founded the Opus UK Facebook group, which has more than 200 members, and allows owners to share ideas, tips and advice, campsite recommendations and memories.

He said the group is "adept at troubleshooting problems or difficulties and most questions are quickly answered and discussed.”
