New guide to the greenest days out
The 'Centres of Inspiration' guide details 21 green attractions across the UK, from the famed Eden project to lesser-known centres like Middleborough's Nature's World and Norfolk's Ecotech Centre. Wildflower centres, an urban farm, a living rainforest and an organic centre are also included in the guide.
"We wanted to show that there's a real wealth of centres right here on our doorstep in the UK." Says Hannah Bullock, editor of the guide. "Some are off the beaten track, hidden away in forests or on cycle trails, so you can make it a real day out.
"The buildings are really innovative as well, using clever technology to make their own energy. Anyone who's at all curious about anything 'green' will come away inspired."
The guide has full details of all the attractions listed, including opening times, prices and advice on how to visit on foot, by bike or on public transport.
