Forest Holidays sites win David Bellamy awards

Forest Holidays sites won 16 gold rosettes in the David Bellamy Conservation Awards 2011.

The winning sites are: Aldridge Hill, Ardgartan, Beddgelert, Cashel, Christchurch, Cobleland, Denny Wood & Matley Wood, Glenmore, Hollands Wood, Holmsley, Ocknell & Longbeech, Postern Hill, Roundhill, Setthorns, Spiers House and Thorpe.

Bracelands and Ashurst sites also achieved silver rosettes.

Spencer Pettit of Forest Holidays said: “Preserving the woodland is a key priority for Forest Holidays and we are delighted that our sites have been recognised as leaders in protecting the British countryside.

“We would like to thank all of our Forest Holidays Holiday Site Managers and their Assistants for their continued dedication in providing a fantastic service for our campers.”

The David Bellamy Conservation Award Scheme is one of the longest running green tourism awards in the UK and is a joint partnership between the Conservation Foundation and the British Holiday & Homes Parks Association.
