Trethem Mill, at St Just-in-Roseland near Truro, has won Silver at the 2013 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.

At a ceremony held at The Point, Lancashire County Cricket Ground, Old Trafford, Manchester, the Cornish touring park picked up the prestigious award.

The Silver Award is one of the highest accolades for Excellence in Tourism in England which VisitEngland can bestow.  Trethem Mill was presented with their Silver Award at a glittering Awards Ceremony which was held on 20 May 2013.

Commenting on the Award James Berresford, VisitEngland’s Chief Executive said, 'The quality of the 320 applications we received this year was extremely high. Winning a Silver was therefore a considerable achievement.'

Trethem Mill received their award from Lady Penelope Cobham, chairman of VisitEngland.

Speaking on behalf of Trethem Mill, Ian & Jane Akeroyd said, 'We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised as one of the best within our sector throughout the whole of England. This award follows on from our success at the Cornish and South West awards and it is great that we are able to put the county in the spotlight for all it has to offer'.
