Campers who visit Forest Holidays sites in the run-up to Christmas Day are receive a special gift.

Eight of its campsites will be open during the winter months - and every visitor in the week running up to 25 December will be given a Christmas tree sapling.

Kerry Bhella, of the Camping and Caravanning Club, who manage the Forest Holidays sites, said: "Camping over the festive period is a magical experience and there's no better way to really get into the spirit of things than by pitching up under real Christmas trees."

The eight sites that will be open are: Setthorns, Spiers House, Thorpe, Postern Hill, Beddgelert, Christchurch, Ardgartan and Glenmore.

Saplings will be available for collection from site receptions on Christmas Eve, when drinks and seasonal refreshments will also be on offer.
