Biking in the Loire Valley

The national sport of France is catching on with British campers, who are carrying their bikes on car rooftops, pitching up on some delightful riverside campsites and exploring the local area on two wheels.

The Loire Vallery, an exceptional region of France that is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has always been popular with British campers. It is not too far from the Channel ports, but far enough south that there is a good chance you won't be let down by the weather. And, on top of that, the whole area offers serene scenery, fascinating towns and villages, and plenty in the region for visitors to explore.
