Our verdict
The Coleman collection of tents is extensive, but for the last few years one has stood out from the crowd... simply because it is so different. The Octagon's unique yurt-like design provides 360° views and lots of living space for couples or small families.
It's already something of a cult classic. But how do you improve on what is obviously a winning formula? Well, in this case you give the public what they want. New for 2023, the Octagon now has an optional front extension, something that fans have been requesting for years.
It really transforms the tent – providing the sort of additional living and storage space that makes it work as a traditional family tent for weekends and touring, without impacting on that unique glamping feel.
The ingenious hinged door on the main tent is one of the Octagon's biggest selling points and that remains a key feature on the new Octagon Grey model.

The large front awning area, PVC skylights, and excellent ventilation add up to make the new version of the Evo TM a superb tent for short breaks, either for small families or couples. As befits the New Zealand brand's background, there's excellent ventilation throughout.

Our verdict
Weekend breaks in a tent, all year round? Surely some mistake? Well, with the Crua Tri it's a reality. The unique insulated bedroom is this tent's USP and it makes winter touring and short holidays out of season a realistic option for couples or families.
