Our verdict
Vango may be synonymous with family camping these days, but don't forget that the company made its name producing lightweight technical gear for serious campers. That expertise still runs through its DNA.
The Cobra 200 is a great example of the kind of technical product Vango does so well; an extremely lightweight – just 0.7kg – option for backpackers, which packs down to little more than the size of a beer can. It's a goose down-filled bag, designed to fit snugly around your head and shoulders for maximum heat retention. The nylon outer shell fabric is durable and water-resistant, enhancing its longevity. It also has something called Thermal Reverb, an aluminised layer which radiates your body heat to generate more warmth.

Our verdict
The Parsec premium sleeping bag range is a long-time favourite and has now been updated with new sustainable features, and additional temperature ratings. In addition to the existing -6°C version, the line-up now includes a 0°C bag and this -18°C model. It's filled with highly compressible Nikwax Hydrophobic Down that absorbs 90% less water and dries three times faster than untreated down.

Our verdict
The Cloud 800 is a unique technical sleeping bag, and not just because of its unusual colour scheme and design. It has a zipless, quilt-style opening that acts like a quilt so you can wrap yourself up in it if the temperature drops or easily open it up in hot weather. The innovative self-sealing foot vent allows air to circulate easily around your feet.
