The National Motorhome Show, which takes place at Peterborough’s East of England Showground on April 27 to 29, will host a series of free motorhome seminars
Expert speakers, including members of the MMM team, will present topics ranging from buying a motorhome to protecting your motorhome from thieves. All the seminars will take place in the main Exhibition Hall on both Friday and Saturday.
They will run on a first-come-first-served basis and, while there will be seating for 100 people, you are advised to arrive early if you want to hear a particular presentation.
The seminars are:
- Buying a Motorhome - presented by MMM senior road tester, Dave Hurrell and will take place on Friday at 11am. The seminar will advise on buying a new (or used) motorhome.
- Motorhome Insurance - presented by the author of MMM’s insurance feature, Andrew Bromley, and insurance industry expert, Stuart Craig, from Shield Total Insurance. This seminar will take place on Friday at midday.
- Taking Your Motorhome Abroad - presented by MMM’s most popular travel correspondent, Andy Stothert. Andy will be joined by MMM travel editor (and former editor) Jane Jago. This seminar will take place on Friday at 2pm and will offer practical advice aimed at those lucky enough to be travelling abroad in their ‘van.
- Know Your Payload - presented by MMM Interchange expert Barry Norris. The seminar will start on Saturday at 11am and will explain why it is so important to know your motorhome’s weight and never to exceed it. Barry will also explain what can be done to increase your payload should you need to.
- Motorhome Electrical Accessories - presented by MMM Interchange expert Clive Mott-Gotobed. Clive will be joined by industry expert Dave Newell. The seminar, which will look at which electrical accessories are ‘must haves’ and which are ‘nice to have’, will take place on Saturday at midday.
- Protecting Your Motorhome Against Thieves will be presented by serving police office Paul Ennis from the West Midland Police Force. Paul will talk on motorhome crime and what the police are doing to stop it. He will be joined by former police officer and MMM Interchange expert George Collings. This seminar will start on Saturday at 2pm.
