Bailey to launch Alliance motorhome range at NEC

e31b9470-fdf3-456c-9819-963cc4b64800

Bristol-based manufacturer, Bailey, is to launch a new range of coachbuilt motorhomes at the upcoming motorhome show at Birmingham’s NEC (October 16 to 21).

The new range will sit between the entry-level Advance and the range-topping Autograph ranges. The range, called Alliance, is based on the Advance range and takes the six best-selling layouts from this entry-level line-up, including three two-berths: the compact 66-2, the 76-2, which features a French bed and rear washroom and the 76-2T, which has twin single beds and a rear washroom.

The other three layouts are the 76-4 and 76-4T, both of which are four berths and have rear washrooms and either a French bed (76-4) or twin single beds (76-4T) with berths three and four found in the front lounge. Finally there is the 6.95m-long Alliance 70-6, a six-berth family motorhome featuring a rear lounge layout.

As with all Bailey motorhomes, the new Alliance range is built on the 3.5-tonne Al-Ko chassis coupled to the Peugeot Boxer and powered by its 160bhp engine as standard. Base vehicle equipment, which all comes as standard, includes Peugeot’s sat-nav system, cab air-con, digital radio, twin airbags and new graphite-coloured exterior paintwork. This cab paintwork is tied into the coachbuilt bodywork thanks to new a graphics scheme.

In addition to the enhanced base vehicle specification, Bailey has also added extra kit to the habitation area to suit the Alliance’s position as the mid-level range in its line-up. As such, buyers will get a Fiamma wind-out awning, exterior 230V power outlets, a Truma 100W solar panel, Status TV aerial and pre-wiring for a rear-view camera all as standard.

Inside, there is a new natural slate-effect worktop finish and a new soft furnishing scheme called Portland. Standard equipment in the habitation area includes Truma Combi 4E heating, Thetford Triplex oven, grill and three-burner hob, a Dometic 95-litre fridge/freezer and a microwave oven.

Prices, as expected, are between the Advance and Autograph ranges, so will be between the high £40,000s and low £50,000s. However, exact prices will not be confirmed until the NEC show.

In addition, Bailey has added two new layouts to its existing Advance range, which was only launched earlier this year. The two new additions both feature twin fixed single beds with a transverse end washroom and a choice of either parallel sofas in the front lounge (76-2T) or an L-shaped lounge with two rear travel seats (76-4T).
