Gold Fever1 to 4 May 2010 Dolaucothi Gold Mines, CarmarthenshireIf you’re feeling lucky this could be an excellent day out for the whole family, offering gold panning competitions, gold-themed activities and a children’s treasure hunt. Panning competition winners could even win a piece of Welsh gold jewellery. There will also be a Victorian underground tour – an excellent opportunity to explore the conditions workers endured in the mines in the 1930s. Admission is £3.40 for an adult, £1.70 for a child, £8.50 for a family and booking is essential. Gold Fever starts at 11am until 5pm on each day (last admission at 4.30pm). Contact Information
