HOBBY’S motorhome range has been expanded for 2010 with a quartet of newcomers, including a very appealing low bed version of the low-profile Hobby Van (pictured).

The new Ford-based Hobby Van Classic is available with the traditional high bed over a full garage (T500 GFSC) or in a new low bed version (T500 FSC) that feels more spacious, has a useful kitchen worktop extension and re-sites its wardrobe over the foot of the fixed bed.

The flat-sided Van Classic still has all the usual Hobby style and will sell here for a highly competitive £41,000 (with 140bhp TDCi engine).

Further up the range, the fixed single bed Van Exclusive L with its distinctive curved sides is now available on either Ford or – new for 2010 – Fiat Ducato chassis. The Van Exclusive DL 500 GESC (to give it its full name!) has a new rear panel, is slightly longer than the Ford version, and costs around £51,000.

Families looking for a fairly compact bunk bed motorhome will be directed towards the new Ford-based Siesta T600 AK KMC (photo below left) which packs a pullman dinette lounge into a 6.41m overall length, as well as transverse bunks which both fold away to create a garage.

Distinctive triple windows in the lounge and a big fridge/freezer feature within a RHD price tag of around £45k.

Finally, there’s the 7.47m Fiat-based Toskana Exclusive T690 GQSC, a low-profile with island bed, Hobby’s unique triple windows (this time in the bedroom), a surprisingly big garage, 3500kg gross weight and a £61,000 price tag.

Detail changes include Siesta 650 models being offered on a choice of front-wheel drive Ford or rear-drive versions with twin rear wheels. And the big D750 tag-axle low-profiles, for which Hobby are famous, can now be ordered with Alde wet central heating.
