Compass Casita 840 caravan

The twin-axle, six-berth Casita 840 offers a unique layout with maximum versatility for big families who love to tour or couples looking for a caravan that is more like a penthouse suite!

When it first appeared on the market, the Erwin Hymer Group was the first to offer this dynamic layout – with a double bed in the rear nearside corner and a full-sized shower room alongside it – plus a wide offside dining area, which makes into another double bed.

The central seating area can be made into a double bed by pulling out extensions at the ends of the U-shaped seating.

The caravan is built on an Al-Ko chassis with AKS 3004 stabiliser and ATC and benefits from the Whale Next Generation heating system – Elddis CompleteHeat – a powerful system that allows you to run heating and hot water at the same time.

The heating tank, located at the rear of the caravan, holds eight litres and it takes just minutes to heat up and you can get hot water even faster. There’s no need for winter to stop your caravanning adventures – this is a tourer that’s made for all weathers.

Upholstery is ActivCare so it’s easy to clean (ideal for mucky pups – both children and pets!) and features the ‘Cambrica’ upholstery scheme. Cushions have a beautiful watercolour-effect botanical design in tones of lemon and teal while the sofa cushions are oatmeal-coloured.

A stylish new LED lighting scheme is modern and casts a soft glow within the caravan, further adding to the relaxing vibes! The modern family can expect years of happy holidays in the Casita 840.

SPECIFICATION

Price from £25,244 OTR
Layout Fixed rear bed, wraparound central dinette
Berths 6
MIRO 1,545kg
MTPLM 1,724kg

Compass Capiro 520 caravan

The Capiro 520 is the smallest of the Capiro line-up but this two-berth packs a lot in – a generous bathroom that will make touring off-grid a joy!

A separate curved shower feels very luxurious indeed. No need to stay at a site with facilities, you have all you need here.

This compact tourer is one of the newest to join the Capiro range, having been first introduced in 2020. The front lounge can be used as two singles or converts into a double in the evenings in a flash.

New for 2021 is the updated touchscreen Whale iVan system with easier-to-locate reset buttons and more accurate thermistor.

The upholstery scheme is ‘Aspen’ – the palette of soft grey and white tones makes this space appear even bigger and lighter.

Natural light will also be in abundance when you’re on tour, thanks to the number of windows – the rooflight above the lounge area being very large indeed.

Cabinetry (Salinas Ash) features positive locking and is craftsman-built for the finest quality you would wish for. These touches make for a caravan that’s been well thought-out – nothing is out of place and everything works together seamlessly.

SPECIFICATION

Price from £23,394 OTR
Layout Twin beds, large rear washroom
Berths 2
MIRO 1,219kg
MTPLM 1,345kg

Compass Camino 650 caravan

The Camino 650 is new for 2021 – it’s a twin axle with a comfortable L-shaped lounge and a 32in TV set in its own entertainment centre that is tastefully moulded into the wall and offers additional USB ports for devices.

To the rear of the caravan is a spacious double bedroom – this has a retractable 6ft 3in double bed with a three-way fold that allows it to be made into a daybed, giving you an extra 40cm floorspace.

The shower and washroom are amidships and can be used as an en suite so no one will be disturbed in the evenings and privacy is guaranteed. LED lighting in the shower is a luxury touch!

The Camino range features Alde 24hr heating and heated ladder-style towel rail as standard. The large Heki Lux Stargazer rooflight means you can stargaze from the comfort of your home on wheels.

‘Heligan’ is the upholstery scheme and it benefits from ActivCare (easy-clean). It’s also PetFriendly, anti-snag and hypoallergenic, so perfect for those with dogs in tow! Dusky pink and oatmeal contrast beautifully and these colours also feature on the cushions with a delicate floral embroidery-style pattern.
